Frequently asked questions.
How much does a professional video cost?
Answer: This is the most common question we get, and the answer is: it depends. The cost of a video is determined by the project's scope, much like building a house. Key factors include the complexity of the concept, the length of the final video, the number of filming days, crew size, specific equipment needs, and the extent of post-production work like motion graphics or animation. We pride ourselves on creating detailed, transparent quotes tailored to your specific needs and budget. For a precise estimate, please reach out to us through our contact page.
What is your typical video production process?
Answer: We follow a structured four-phase process to ensure a smooth workflow and an exceptional final product:
Discovery & Strategy: We begin with a deep dive into your goals, audience, and key messages to develop a solid creative brief.
Pre-Production: This is the planning stage. We handle everything from scriptwriting and storyboarding to location scouting and casting.
Production: Our professional crew captures all the necessary footage and audio using high-end cinema equipment.
Post-Production: Our editors assemble the footage, color grade, mix audio, add graphics, and polish the video until it perfectly matches our shared vision. We include rounds of revisions to ensure you are 100% satisfied.
How long does it take to produce a video?
Answer: While every project is unique, a standard corporate video project typically takes between 4 to 8 weeks from our initial consultation to final delivery. This timeline can be shorter for simpler projects or longer for more complex productions involving extensive animation or multiple filming locations. The timeline is also dependent on the speed of client feedback during the revision stages. We will provide a detailed project schedule before we begin.
Do you only film in Burlington, or do you travel?
Answer: While we are proud to be a Burlington-based video production company and love working with local businesses, our work often takes us beyond the city limits. We regularly serve clients throughout the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA), across Ontario, and have the capability to manage projects anywhere in Canada.
Once the video is finished, who owns it?
Answer: You do. Upon final payment and delivery, you (the client) receive full ownership and usage rights for the final edited video. You are free to use it on your website, social media, in presentations, or anywhere else you see fit. Burlington Films retains the rights to the raw, unedited footage and may request to feature the completed work in our portfolio, with your permission.
